About Eta Mu

On April 17, 1971, the Eta Mu Chapter was chartered by seven young men on the campus of the University of Houston:

  • Record Lee Sampson
  • Lemuel J. Smith
  • Darron Ingram
  • James H. Self
  • Terry R. Hughes
  • Roy L. Johnson
  • Earl St. Clair Newsome III

Since its inception, over 370 men have entered the organization through Eta Mu. We are committed to education and community service. In addition to programs organized by the general organization, Eta Mu is faithful to its own.

We boast an active alumni group, Eta Mu Alumni Foundation, that continues to support the University of Houston community.
